To Kill a Mockingbird Death of a Salesman Blog Links Ask me!

Well after reading To Kill A Mockingbird I was really happy about how much society has changed and learnt to accept and glad that I don't come across unjust situations like in the novel! Poor Tom!
However, just a few days ago after school I was just walking down the train station to my platform after the school bus had dropped us off, then I witnessed a white woman look at the swarm of students from my school and call it a "refugee camp"! Excuse you! (Not saying there's anything wrong with being a refugee, but the fact that she stereotyped all Asians as refugees) I find it quite disgusting that certain people like her find themselves to be more superior to other races or groups in fact it is quite ironic because they are not the original owners of the land! I mean, imagine if the indigenous people went around calling her race "convicts"!
But anyway, before readers start throwing in racist comments about white people or defend their own race, I need to clarify that my post today isn't targeted at or meant to offend any race!

Well back to America... nowadays it is much more culturally diverse and accepting and that is even shown by the recent new Miss America who is Indian! But for some strange reason not everybody seems to accept the fact that she is not a white woman like previous Miss Americas, many making offensive and racist remarks such as "this is America, not India" or relating her to "Arabs" and the "9/11". *sighs* These stubborn people can't just seem to leave other "less superior" races alone, does doing this simply make them feel better about themselves?
